Happy New Year! May this new year open the doors of good health in soul, mind, and body, realization of your cherished desires, appropriate relaxation, friendship, love, peace, and happiness.
The last day of the year is the time to reflect on the year going by and think of things you might want to do better in the coming year. You might have a myriad of things you want to get accomplished—and that’s part of human life—we have home maintenance, upkeep, and perhaps renovations; we need to help our parents or our children; and we may need to climb the ranks in the company we work for, to keep up with rising expenses. Yes, all that is necessary and part of our responsibilities.
But what’s the most important part of our responsibility that we often forget? The responsibility to be kind to our bodies and our minds—they are the sacred temples that we need to nourish with the right inputs for balanced emotions and a happy soul. That's preventative healthcare.
We may have made resolutions on New Year's Day, and some of us may have already broken them, but here's the key to the mint of wellbeing: Healthy habit stacking with realistic goals makes for sustainable resolutions.

I was on an episode of the We Win Within podcast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsB9REMTKos, where I laid out the foundations of getting to a healthy level of wellness (no drastic changes; just pearls of a healthy lifestyle) based on my years of holistic nutrition research. My gracious host, Hindy, asked me some good questions, and you may be surprised to know the answers. This conversation is for anyone who feels depleted, overwhelmed, or curious about how true wellness begins within.

To give you a sneak preview, here are some of the key points of the episode:
What's more important—what you put in your body or what you leave out?
How to raise healthy children—what's crucially important
How parents can win over their children who are finicky eaters
How important microbiome balance and gut health is
The causes of allergies (that are not obvious)
What saps your energy and how it can lead to metabolic diseases, neurological diseases, and even cancer.
Just like a computer can function properly only if the right programs are in place, so too we need the right code or program for our souls, minds, and bodies. The video above will shed more light on the right program for your body.
For our souls, we need to truly look deep within ourselves to see who we truly are or who we are “trying” to be—are we trying to be someone that’s not right with our sense of intuition (in fact, our inspiration from God)?
The program we need to feed our minds should be comprised of choosing to see things that bring us beauty, give us joy, or enhance our thinking and our intellect for the better.
It also involves choosing to listen to things that are uplifting, or seeking out someone to have good conversations with, listening to spiritual verses (that feed the soul), listening to our favorite music, or music that uplifts or calms. And we can’t forget that the way we speak dictates the way our minds and our bodies respond.

So, I would like to invite you all, as my dear friends, to take a moment to be proactive about your health. The little you do today can save you hours, weeks, and more of undesirable “dis-ease” later.
